This is late to say, but I was forced to bow out of JulNoWriMo due to technical difficulties. I lost Wish You Were Here and think that if I attempted a re-write it wouldn't come out so smoothly. Maybe I'll try it again in a year or two, but for now I'll leave the idea to drift in the back of my mind.


Anyway, it's nearing the end of the month and although I didn't say anything about it I've been taking part in AugNoWriMo. It's 11:30pm on the 25th of August and I just broke 45k. Five thousand more words and I'll have of won. It'll have been my first successful challenge since November 2007, so if I can make it (which I'm definitely sure I can) it'll be a really positive experience.


I just spent this month working on the ending of my NaNo'07, but I think I'll need to finish off during September. I want to have it finished for NaNo this year, because I want to write a sequel. It's so close to the end though, and I'm excited to actually be finishing. Nine months have led up to this moment and it's almost over. There are only four or five hours worth of a story left to tell. Of course, that could easily total 10k+ so I'm not entirely sure when it'll be done.


Anyway, my goals for September will be:

+ Finish writing A Map of the World.
+ Plan GothNoWriMo novel.

It's just after 1am on the second day, and even though I'm doing fine my head is telling me to back out of this before it's too late. Someone please send my mind a message to tell it that yes, it is a little too late now.

Wow, it's just over two hours into July and I'm already past the 3k mark. I love writing at night, my speed is amazing. For the first forty minutes I was struggling, but eventually it just took off. I think I'm going to go get some rest now though: my wrists and back are getting a little sore. I guess that's the price to pay for fun though.
